Dear Mr. John,
I regret to inform that due to certain unavoidable circumstances, I would be unable to continue with my services at your prestigious organization. With deep regret I announce formal resignation from my services on 5th April 2010 and I would be serving a notice period as decided by the company on the appointment letter at the time of my employment.
It has been a pleasurable journey in this organization. I have learnt from you and my employees and the knowledge I gathered are diverse. I hope I would be able to utilize the same in future. At this juncture, when I have decided to part ways, I would ensure amicable relationship with all my contacts internally and externally.
I look forward to working with you again.
PS: I have handed over the ensuing projects to the respective colleagues. I assure my attendance as and when I am required.
