Subject: Thank you for everything

Dear Ben,

I am writing this mail to take the opportunity of thanking you for whatever you have done for me as a flat mate. I would like you to bid me farewell as I am returning to my hometown.

When I had moved out my hometown and come to this city to join my first job, I was always concerned about getting a proper place to stay and above that I was concerned more about getting a flat mate with whom I would be able to gel with. After I met you and we moved in to the same apartment I stopped missing my family much less as compared to earlier as you compensated for them. You took proper care of me like an elder brother and was very adjusting in all aspects. You always ensured that I was never empty stomach and took care of me whenever I fell sick. It is sad that I am being transferred back to my hometown and have to bid you farewell.

I will always be thankful to you for all that you have done for me.  I will miss you a lot.

Take Care

John Miller
