I am writing this email to convey my sincerest apologies to you as I wish to cancel and reschedule the interview that is scheduled for 5th June 2013. I was to be interviewed for the job post of Sales Executive by Mr. Fred Leo at 5:00 PM. I express my deepest apologies to you for the inconveniences.
Sir, my mother has been hospitalised, diagnosed with Lung Cancer. Due to the emergency, I will not be able to appear for an interview on 5th June. I therefore request you to kindly reschedule the interview for me for the next week. It would be a great help from your side if you could help me in this regard. I am greatly interested to be a part of ABC Company and contribute with my expertise and sales skills.
I once again apologise for the cancellation of the scheduled interview but I hope you would understand my current situation.
